IMN Activities for Numerical Expressions {Grade 5}

These interactive notebook activities are intended to help students understand how to use parentheses, brackets, or braces in numerical expressions, and evaluate expressions with these symbols. Write simple expressions that record calculations with numbers, and interpret numerical expressions without evaluating them.

Included are:
-4 different Numerical Expressions activities to engage students
-Teacher facilitated activity for 60-90 minutes of classroom time
-Activities include: Vocabulary, Practice with writing numerical phrases, Order of Operations foldable and practice, Finding the errors in numerical expressions.
-Examples of Completed Interactive Math Notebook Activities are included.
-Answer Keys INCLUDED!

This set is one of my favorites for 5th grade! Teaching numerical expressions can be difficult, but when you break down the concepts and have the students interact with the concepts, the students will master it. Some of the best IMN activities are in this set and get students to think about the math and master the content.

Happy Teaching!
