Let's READ NO PREP Reading Logs

Often what I make and create for my classroom comes out of necessity. This summer has been pretty busy for my family and I wanted a way to engage my son in recording how much he reads {he reads a lot!}, remind myself to encourage more reading {I often forget with a baby that needs lots of attention that she deserves}, and reward my son for his reading. I really hope this is a useful tool for your classroom your students or reading at home with your children.

Let's READ NO PREP Reading Logs

These Reading Logs are for Pre-K to fifth graders to record a their own reading. There is one set of weekly reading logs and one set of monthly reading logs for the 2016-2017 school year. Each Reading Log engages the students to record their own reading time {done with a parent or alone}.Included in this packet:

-1 set of Weekly Reading Logs

-1 set of Monthly Reading Logs

-Classroom Posters to Display Students with 4 STAR Reading Scores for reading at least 20 minutes a day!

-All reading logs have parent signature line

-Engages students in being active readers

-Kid friendly text

-Calendars for 2016-2017 School Year

-HIGH QUALITY clipart

-Ready to Print & GO!

We filled ours out for Monday and Tuesday. We read in the morning and afternoon, usually in between his creative playtime. My son loves to sit and read and this is helping me to better keep track of how much we are reading. Simply chart how many minutes of reading we do as we go. The reading logs are easy to PRINT & GO!

I'm using the monthly set and posting it on my white board in my home classroom. Here is a picture of what it looks like. I hope these reading logs are helpful for your students in keeping up with their daily reading too.
