Math Eggs for Spring - Grades PreK & K

Do you want to have fun with eggs and Math?

This is an easy activity to incorporate Math into Spring. Kids love Easter eggs and this activity will no doubt be fun for every student. Follow the simple steps to create the Math Egg Activity.

1. Label Eggs

2. Fill the Eggs with Jellybeans

3. Enjoy! Have the students count the jellybeans inside the eggs and refill them. Ask the students "How many more?" "How many less?" "How much does this make?" etc.

Creating these opportunities for number sense and creativity help students build their mathematical knowledge. Students need to practice to become proficient at number sense. Preschool and Kindergarten is the time to have students count, build, and create with numbers. This will help them to have a stronger ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Other things they could count for Easter would be tiny erasers, candy, bunny marshmallows, and more.

Happy Teaching!
